Initiate: Become a Student Representative for Music at Oxford!
Initiate is Music at Oxford's Student Representative Scheme. Our Student Reps are vital in helping Music at Oxford to publicise the concerts within the student community the University in general.
This involves putting up posters and distributing flyers/brochures within colleges and departments, as well as forwarding emails if possible and of course word of mouth. Music at Oxford supplies all of these materials by posting out packs to you before concerts.
In return for your help you get 3 pairs of tickets per season and marketing experience for your CV. Past Student Reps have gone on to work in the industry with organisations such as the Philharmonia Orchestra!

Stewarding
Music at Oxford is always interested in hearing from anyone who would like to join our dedicated team of volunteer stewards.
Stewards help with admitting ticket holders to the venues, seating them and selling programmes, in return for which they are able to hear the concert free of charge.
If you are able to commit yourself to several concerts over the course of our season, we would love to hear from you!

Volunteer Work Placements
If you would like to gain work experience in the industry Music at Oxford offers volunteer work placements. You can choose from either the administrative or concert management side.
On the administrative side you can come into the office and get experience and insight into areas including Box Office, Sales, Marketing, Artistic Programming and Concert Management Administration.
On the Concert Management side you can assist one of our concert managers on the day and evening of a concert, which will include greeting and looking after the artists, setting up for and assisting rehearsals, and preparing the venue for the performance.
In return for your help you get free tickets for the concerts that happen whilst you are with us…plus of course great experience to put on your CV!
