A landmark double concert premiere of English composition from 16th & 21st centuries. The first part celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Coronation of Henry VIII, founder of Christ Church, with glorious reflective music from the Eton Choirbook, performed for the first time since the 16th century. Then comes the Oxford première of Eternal Light: A Requiem, a new work written for the Choir by award-winning composer, broadcaster and Christ Church alumnus, Howard Goodall, newly released by EMI Classics.
