Mendelssohn
String Symphony in B Minor
Mendelssohn Violin Concerto
Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No 2
Mendelssohn Symphony No 4 Italian

The Philharmonia Orchestra is a regular visitor to Oxford, and attracts both star soloists and sell-out audiences. This time, the legendary pianist Andras Schiff joins them as director and soloist
to explore the music of Mendelssohn. Alongside some lesser-known pieces, the ever-popular violin concerto is performed by a young musician being championed by Schiff who looks set for great things. You’ll be blown away by the technical mastery of both composer and performers, and you’ll be humming the tunes for days afterwards.

Tickets £40, £26, £18, £10

You may also enjoy Maxim Rysanov/Katya Apekisheva/Kristina Blaumane, Boris Giltburg, Britten Sinfonia and The Aurora Orchestra.
