"The fortepiano and the gut-stringed violin bring extra excitement, danger even, to Beethoven's music." The Times
Another musical summit, the Beethoven violin sonatas, and again with two of the finest players in the world. The glorious Kreutzer Sonata crowns a programme which includes the Spring Sonata and a delightful if lesser known work from early in Beethoven's career. It’s difficult to choose from the vast number of ecstatic press comments, but the Chicago Tribune touchingly said ‘ Mullova may be the most elegant, refined and sweetly expressive violinist on the planet.’
