Henri Dutilleux Oboe Sonata
Virtuoso pianist and Royal Philharmonic Society award-winner Clare Hammond in a programme which brings together a trio of beautiful French sonatas by Saint-Saëns, Poulenc and Dutilleux, with music by three composers with strong Oxford connections: Robert Saxton, Thomas Hyde and RPS composition prize-winner, Ninfea Cruttwell-Reade, whose work Ravens' Cage was premiered at the 2016 Presteigne Festival.
We regret that Emily Pailthorpe is unable to perform and we welcome James Turnbull instead. James has performed at the Wigmore Hall, live on BBC Radio 3 and is described as 'a worthy champion' of contemporary oboe music by The Independent.
