We are proud to bring you the best young musicians in classical music. This November is one of the highlights of our new generation picks: virtuoso violist, Maxim Rysanov. Already considered as one of the world’s best violists, he has just won the 2008 Gramophone Classic FM Young Artist of the Year. For his Holywell performance he forms a trio with pianist Katya Apekisheva and cellist Kristine Blaumane to perform a sumptuous programme of Britten, Frank Bridge and Brahms. |
|
He is in demand from the UK’s top orchestras and this season will perform with several BBC Orchestras, Britten Sinfonia and Bournmouth Symphony Orchestra under Vassily Sinaisky. His impressive discography includes a recording with Janine Jansen (Bach Inventions) that reached No. 1 in the USA ITunes chart. He was even considered for the title role of Vivaldi in the planned Hollywood film. Rysanov is certainly an unmissable musician in our 2008/9 season. |
