Christ Church Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral

Music at Oxford hires Christ Church Cathedral for concerts; if you wish to find out more about hiring the venue, please see the venue information section and contact the venue directly.

Music at Oxford has been holding Christmas and other concerts at Christ Church Cathedral for many years. The present building dates from the end of the 12th century; it is unique in the Church of England as it is both the College Chapel and the cathedral church for the Diocese of Oxford.

The Cathedral has a truly magical atmosphere at Christmas. As the stage is in the crossing, most of our concerts use TV screens around the Cathedral to ensure audiences in all areas can see the performance.
