Warm, inviting, and charming, this venue showcases Oxford-style at its best. Designed in a simple gothic style, St Luke’s Chapel opened in 1865 and is named after the gospel writer St Luke, the patron saint of doctors. Since undergoing a full refurbishment in 2010, the chapel retains charming features such as its bell tower, pre-Raphaelite stained-glass windows, beautiful parquet flooring, it’s a venue not to miss!
Useful information
There is a very limited amount of disabled parking available at the Chapel, please contact us if you would like us to try booking you a space for the duration of the event you are attending. The main entrance is ramped and the door is powered. Shortly after entering the building you arrive into the main room which is, fully accessible from the front door. To the left of the entrance, there is an accessible toilet and hearing support systems can be used in the main room.

How to get here
by Car
Please note that parking is extremely difficult anywhere in the city centre and there is no parking available at the church, although there are some on-street parking (with restrictions) nearby. Please see the information for Zone 2 on the City Council Website. Many roads in the centre are barred to vehicles and therefore visitors travelling by car are encouraged to use the Park and Ride buses. There is further information about car parking in Oxford on the City Council website. Please be aware that the Oxford Zero Emissions Zone is in force, you can find out more by clicking on the link.
By Bus/Coach
There are a number of local buses connecting various parts of Oxford and the surrounding towns and villages to the city centre. Please check the Stagecoach and Oxford Bus Company’s journey planners to find a route that serves your travel needs. Oxford is also easy to reach from London by coach. The Oxford Tube runs up to every 10 minutes and National Express buses leave Marylebone every 20 minutes (approx.) to Oxford bus station.
By Train
A direct service operates between both London Marylebone and London Paddington to Oxford station. Oxford station has direct rail services from many locations including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Hereford, Worcester, Newcastle and York.
