Ambassador of Estonia announced as Patron of 90 Years of Arvo Pärt

With our week-long celebration of the music of Arvo Pärt taking place next week, we’re extremely pleased to announce Estonia’s Ambassador to the UK, H.E. Sven Sakkov as the Festival’s patron, underlining the importance of Arvo Pärt’s music to Estonian culture.

“Throughout the planning of Arvo Pärt at 90 we’ve enjoyed steadfast support from Estonian institutions including the Embassy and the Arvo Pärt Centre, and we’re so happy that this continues with H.E.Sven Sakkov’s Patronage of the Festival. To have such involvement from Arvo Pärt’s home country has meant a great deal to us and has allowed us to really be ambitious with the Festival – we look forward to welcoming the Ambassador to Oxford for the festival, alongside hundreds of fans of Arvo Pärt’s music.”
