Exploring Oxford’s Music Venues – Our new podcast series!

In the first season back after the year that never was, we take the time to celebrate the venues that we know and love around the city with our new podcast series. Including interviews with those who know the venues the best, we delve in amongst the arches and auditoriums of these fabulous and iconic buildings, with each episode focusing on a unique venue. We  hope that you will join us on our journey!

Episode 1 – University Church of St Mary the Virgin

First in our new series, we explore the University Church of St Mary the Virgin on Oxford’s historic High Street. This episode is narrated by Philip Andrew and includes an interview with the Revd Dr William Lamb. The music featured in the episode is Beati quorum via by Charles Villiers Stanford sung by the University Church of St Mary the Virgin’s Choir directed by Gulliver Ralston.

Our next concert at the University Church will be on 30th October with the English Cornett & Sackbut Ensemble. They will be performing their programme ‘Bizarrium!’ – a musical miscellany of the strange and the beautiful. You can buy tickets to the concert here.
